The Bible verse that states the devil (the thief) comes to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full". (John 10:10). 

Pastor Thomas H. Brooks, Jr. Interpretation: Father God has expressed that the devil's destructive intent with Jesus' purpose is to provide “abundant life and freedom” through Salvation by Faith and Grace, NOT Captive, Bondage, Slavery and Strongholds that the devil desires.

Jesus is teaching his Children of God who Believes and follow him in Righteousness as his Sheep who “Hears his Word and Obedience, that He is the Good Shepherd. The (thief) represents the enemy (Satan), while Jesus provides life and protection. The goal of the enemy of the "evil spirit is gain access" of a sin nature human body vessel, corrupt heart, mind & soul of someone who "walking in spiritual death and blinded” to the Word God Gospel Doctrine and who serves the devil purpose, plan and strategies of the world system are aimed who are “against” God Word of the Covenant to “steal” peace, joy, and “purpose”, kill faith or self-worth, and destroy individuals and families relationships and lives. The bible speak of the devil as a "roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour," possess the need for accuser and vigilance.

While the enemy comes to destroy, it is written by God himself stating the fact that Jesus provides a superior, abundant life and have it to the full". So, with that said, submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you".

Just try it because once you do, you’re going to realize something nobody warned you about, you have nothing in common with a lot of people you’re surrounded by.  With that being said, stay with me meaning, some relationship and relationships with the World System Satan of Sinful Nature Men and Women, only survive on  Satan’s “Distraction Tools” uses for Sin: “Strongholds/Footholds” on the previous listed page of distractions such as smoking/drugs, alcohol, sex, nightlife, trauma devices and if take those away and there’s no substance left, no purpose, no real connection and let’s be real. 

A lot of the stuff people are doing anyway are things the Holy Bible – The Word of God Gospel Doctrine, already told us that lusting among other sinful things of pleasure is a Sin and death. 

It says the “flesh” wants what goes against the Spirit of God” in Galatians 5:17, and when you start “feeding the flesh” of its desires and appetite, everything starts getting “exposed” that’s why people get uncomfortable when you start “changing”, it’s not because you think you’re better. It’s because you’re sobriety exposes what they’re using to cope, when you remove the noise and start reading the Holy Bible – The Word of God, you start seeing truth, hearing truth, feeling truth, thinking truth and truth is quiet and it will set you free in the Spirit of God by the Holy Spirit. 

Pretty soon, you start realizing that you don’t laugh for the same things anymore. You don’t create the same environment anymore; you don’t want unhealthy ungodly conversations that go nowhere anymore. Not because you’re “boring”, but because you’re spiritually awake. The Holy Bible says, “come out from among them and be separate” and that 2 Corinthian 6:17 meeting growth requires separation. Some people were never meant to grow spiritually with you in the Word of God. They were only meant to distract you, so you got serious and let’s be honest, a lot of people do not like you “changing” because of forces them to look at themselves, when you stop “partying” you realize how “empty” it was, when you stop “smoking/drugs” you realize how much it “controlled” you, when you stop drinking “alcohol” numbing yourself you realize how much “pain” you were avoiding, and not everybody is ready to sit with themselves to look at themselves in the “mirror”, so yeah, when you start “choosing Salvation” and God’s One-Way and Lifestyle of Spiritual Christian Discipleship Walking by Faith in Discipline Order as a Child of God, your circle get smaller, but I guess, because real “peace” cost you people, “clarity” cost you company and “obedience” cost you world sinful access, but won’t you “gain” your “mind, heart and the Holy Spirit of God” back, your “purpose and God’s Will” back, your “authority and power” back, Your “Eternal Life” Back and that’s a fair trade.

• To Save Us from Sin and Death: "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8:2)
• To Act as a Substitute: "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
• To Destroy the Works of the Devil: "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)
• To Seek and Save the Lost: "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." (Luke 19:10)
• To Give Life and Freedom: "For freedom Christ has set us free... Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." (Galatians 5:13)
• To Take Away Our Sins: "And you know that He was manifested to to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin." (1 John 3:5)

• Paying the Penalty: Jesus paid the price for sin, freeing humanity from the judgment of God's wrath.
• Breaking Sin's Power: His death allows followers to die to sin and live for righteousness, rather than being enslaved by immoral desires.
• Reconciliation: He brought humanity back to God because people could not achieve holiness on their own.

Jesus Christ came to free humanity from the penalty and power of sin because sin separates people from a holy God and leads to spiritual death. He died as a voluntary, sacrificial substitute to pay the "ransom" for sins—the penalty we owed—so that humanity could be forgiven, justified (made right with God), and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in righteousness, ultimately breaking sin's control. 

Core Reasons Jesus Came to Free Us from Sin:

• To Remove the Penalty and Judgment: Scripture teaches that sin results in spiritual separation and the death penalty. Jesus took this penalty upon himself, satisfying God's justice so we no longer are condemned.
• To Break the Power and Slavery of Sin: People are born as spiritual "slaves to sin," unable to free themselves. Jesus' death broke this grip, enabling humanity to be released from its control and no longer compelled to follow sinful desires.
• To Enable Reconnection with God: Sin breaks the relationship between humans and God. Jesus came as a mediator to remove that barrier (the guilt of sin) and bring people back into a reconciled, loving relationship with the Father.
• To Fulfill the Law's Requirements: Because human nature was too weak to obey the Law of Moses perfectly, Jesus fulfilled the Law, freeing us from its curse and allowing us to live under grace.
• To Empower Holy Living: Jesus didn't just save us from sin's penalty, but also for a new life. He provides the Holy Spirit to help people overcome sin and live in a way that pleases God. 

As written in 1 John 3:8, "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work."
